| When a young couple got married they had little idea of how hard it would be financially.
They couldn’t afford the flat they were renting and stretching themselves to a house was madness. They scrimped and saved but the ends never quite met. They lived off lots of pasta and didn’t even own a car. Often they would to have to borrow from family and friends. A desperate situtation. How could they bring future children into the world whilst trying to make ends meet? The couple were both working hard which meant trudging up to London every day.
